We travelled to Wyaga (half way between Millmerran & Gundy) to visit the Dodd's family. Stuart has just been promoted to manager of the farm he has been working at for the last 2 years. They have moved to the manager's home and are settling in well, although Rosie has plenty of jobs she would like to be doing. The Wyaga Homestead is the centre of what would have been a small township in the 1900's, and has a number of small surrounding buildings including the post office and butcher. There is even the old dial up telephone booth and petrol pumps- one of which they still use! It is quite quaint and we could imagine how grand it would have been in it's hay day.
We had a great day eating and exploring and all too soon it was time to head home. It only took 1 1/2 hours from our house to their new house on Wyaga so it is quite a quick trip. We don't miss that Gundy road at all though and wonder how we ever travelled it as often as we did.
