36 weeks!
Well, the count down is well and truely on until this precious baby comes into the world. I have been blessed with a mostly hassle free pregnancy and really have nothing to complain about. Dr McLaughlin is happy with everything still. He estimates that bub will be no bigger than 8pd. The most disturbing question he asked was if I thought I would go early... man I hope not!!! As much as you want the next 3 weeks to fly, I don't think I am that keen...
Bye Mollie!
Sunday 24th October 2010
We said a sad farewell to Mollie our cat today. When we went to let her out this morning she could not walk and was barely breathing. The vet thinks that she was bitten by a snake- most likely yesterday (when she was exploring around the neighbourhood). Thanks for all the good times Mollie. She was a very faithful cat, having travelled with us from Toowoomba to Goondiwindi to Warwick and to Dalby! The boys biggest concern is what pet we will have now- Jas thinks a new baby should be enough for a while. Then maybe a goldfish...

Friends for life
I mentioned in an earlier post that mum had a photo of Letoya and I asleep in my bed, similar to the one I took of Joel and Eden. Well, here is the photo, dated 18-2-1984 so we were almost 3 at the time. We really have been friends for our lifetimes! Love ya Toya!

34 weeks but who's counting????
Tuesday 12th October 2010
With about 5 weeks to go until we welcome this precious little one into the world, we are getting excited and nervous all at the same time. I am mostly nervous because we have not yet settled on a boys name and I would hate to deliver this little one without a name to give it (if it is a boy). The boys are getting more and more excited, with Kaleb starting to count down- "it's only 5 weeks until the baby comes...". I am still feeling reasonably well, though the hotter weather is making me a pit puffy. My blood pressure is creeping up as well- it was 140/90 at my last check up- so my body is definitely gearing up for the end of this stage of the journey. The idea of rest is pretty much that- a nice idea- but difficult to do.
General consensus is that I am bigger this time than I have been with the boys. My tummy is definitely out more at the front. I measured my belly at the moment against the size of my belly with Joel at 37 weeks (the string from my baby shower game) and I cannot get it around me so things are definitely different/bigger this time around- and I still have 5 weeks to go. I posted these photos as a comparison.

The Coates's visit
Wednesday 6th October 2010
Uncle Coatsey had a day taking photos in Chinchilla so we got the spend a whole day with Letoya, Eden and Maeve. We had such a great time and it was so nice to catch up without having to rush off somewhere. The kids all played well together all day which was just lovely.

Joel & Eden in Kaleb's bed- I took this photo for future reference and also because it matches a photo that my mum has of Letoya and I in my bed when we were a similar age. |
