Friday 1st May 2009
Well, it's 10.40am and I'm still in my pj's. Since reading Julz's blog and getting inspired to create our own, I've been distracted. And it's not like I don't have enough to do already. The boys are changed and ready for the day though so that's a start.
So... Warwick is now our home. We are all unpacked and settling in and adjusting to the cooler weather. We all miss Goondiwindi (or maybe that's just me???) but appreciate that this is where God has planned for us to be. Jas is enjoying work and the challenges it is bringing. Kaleb is settling in well and loving Kindy. He tells us he has made new friends- but that he can't remember their names. Joel- well, Joel's happy so long as Kaleb is around.
We ventured to church on Sunday and went to King's City Church (AOG) and felt very much at ease. Kaleb went off to Kid's Church without a hitch and enjoyed the time with the children there. Although it is not the same as Goondiwindi (and I don't know that anything can compare to what we had there or come close to matching it), there are many young families and children and opportunities for fellowship, worship and growth. So I would say that it is our new church home.
There are lots of things to see and do here in Warwick and the boys are keen to go fishing along the Condamine River. We went for a walk along the walking track on Sunday and were surprised by the number of people fishing. So I'd say that'll become a new hobby.
