What a lovely surprise

Tuesday 29th March 2011

Today we got the chance to see Ivan & Ros as they were coming through town on their way home to Goondiwindi. It was so nice to see them and for them to meet Bethany.

It does make me slightly home sick for Goondiwindi! Bless you both!

There were 3 in the bed...

How beautiful- one of life's lovely moments. Who could ask for anything more???

Two days in a row... life is tough.

AFL Auskick

Friday 25th March 2011

Kaleb has been involved with Auskick this term and this week all of the school groups joined up at the local AFL grounds to have a game. (That's Kaleb in the purple shirt).

Have you seen Kaleb lately?

Isn't he growing up so quickly. It is less than a month til he turns 6- and he is on the countdown! He's put his order in for a dinosaur cake and is asking 'what am I getting for my birthday?'. I tried telling him we had bought him a motorbike but he didn't buy that one. He's going to have to wait and see...

It's a hard life...

Thursday 24th March 2011

It's such a tough life being a baby. Bethany was on the floor playing with the boys while I got dinner ready (thanks Mirtschin's Prime Beef for the awesome meat- tonight it was silverside) when it became very quiet. I found Bethany asleep on the floor, fingers in the mouth. She is just so beautiful and brings so much joy to our lives- what would we do without her?

Bethany's Dedication

Sunday 6th March 2011

Bethany celebrated her dedication day today. She screamed (and I mean screamed) through the whole thing, even when Pastor Murray was praying for/over her but these things can't be helped. We shared a cake with church and then had the family out for lunch. It was a lovely day and way to celebrate this special day.

Joel's Haircut

Monday 28th February 2011

Today I decided that it was time for Joel to join the Wieden boys haircut club by having a clipper haircut. Joel detests haircuts and touching his head/ hair at the best of times so as you can imagine he was not happy. At least with the clippers a haircut is quite quick. He does look very different with short hair and I think he misses his hair quite a bit. I felt bad afterwards that he was so sad about losing his hair- a bit like Samson in the bible. It was a bit of a security blanket for Joel and even now he tries to twirl the hair that he has left- there is a small fluffy spot that he plays with now. We kept the hair clippings in an envelope for him as a keepsake which I think he likes. Deep down I think he thinks he is pretty cool looking like daddy and Kaleb- well at least I hope that's what he thinks...

Joel- after haircut
I am not 100% convinced about Joel with such short hair- so we'll see how it grows back and what style we can come up with- maybe a bit longer on the top but with short sides still???

Bethany- 15 weeks

Monday 28th February 2011

As you can see our princess is growing up so fast! She has been a little upset this week and we think she may be teething- poor thing can't get enough of her fingers in her mouth- until she bits her finger and hurts it!

She continues to talk a lot (getting her 10,000 word in per day) and giggles too.

Could we be more smitten????? I doubt it!
