Newspaper star!

This is the front page of the local community newspaper yesterday.

What a local star you are Jas!

Floods at Dalby!

Well what a week we've had. Dalby was flooded on Monday/ Tuesday. The kids and I were in Toowoomba so missed all of the fun but Jas said it was unreal- something you need to see to believe. There was a bit of concern for our house at one stage but thankfully the water did not rise that much. Our area was cut off for some time though and the water had flooded the streets to the top of the gutters. Jas was able to come home Monday afternoon in a 4wd. By Wednesday the water had all drained away. When the kids and I returned to Dalby Wednesday afternoon you could hardly tell there had been such drama only the day before. That's the good thing about water- it comes and then it goes.

(I will post photos later)

Bethany- 5 weeks!

Where has that time gone? Our beautiful little girl is now 5 weeks old and doing really well- even better now we have Thompson's Wind Mixture. She is becoming more alert and starting to smile. Kaleb and Joel fuss over her alot and love holding her hand and stroking her cheek. She is a bit of a home body which is great until we want to go out...

Happy Birthday Grandad!

Sunday 19th December 2010

Dad celebrated his birthday on Friday but we got to have our own family party with him on Sunday night- pizza and cheesecake! Yummo!

Christmas with the Brown Family!

Sunday 19th December 2010

This afternoon we shared afternoon tea with the extended Brown Family. Although there are a lot of us it is nice to get together each year at Christmas time and see how everyone is going and to see how much all of the great grand kids are growing- there are 21 in total with 2 more on the way. How do Grandma Jean & Grandad Les keep up?

These are the Christmas cupcakes that we took to share.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Photo taken at Dalby Shopping World 15/12/2010
We pray that you are all blessed with a wonderful Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour!

Bethany- One Month!

I can hardly believe that Bethany is one month old already! Where has that time gone? It is surreal to think only a month ago she was in my tummy. She is growing really well- on good pastures- and is mostly settled. She sleeps really well and slept one night from 10.30pm until 4am! The boys are still fussing over her and are excited now that she is more alert.

General consensus is that she is a 'Wieden'- she has different colouring to the boys with more olive skin and the brown hair. Even though they all look different, you can tell all of our kids are from the same 'recipe'- just a different mould each time!

Look at those chubby cheeks

The Schultz Family- thank you so much for the gorgeous outfit- I am trying to get as much wear out of it as I can before she grows too much!

Bethany- 3 weeks!

Our little girl continues to grow and change and is now 3 weeks old. Jas went back to work today so it means settling into a "routine" with her 2 brothers and the demands of everyday life. She is mostly happy to go with the flow although she will let you know in no uncertain terms when she wants something. She is feeding well and sleeping soundly most of the time and has put on about 500g since leaving hospital.

Playing in mud puddles

After a day stuck inside because of the rain the boys were itching to go and play outside. Nana said that they could go outside so long as they stayed on the concrete- yeah right!!!! There was too much water and mud not to go and play on the grass. Good thing for Napisan and hot baths!
