Meeting Kayla

Sunday 21st February 2010

We were finally well enough to go and meet Kayla. We visited Uncle Adam, Aunty Tracey and Kayla at their house and had lots of cuddles before we all ventured to Nana & Grandad's for our first family dinner with her.

She is just sooo cute and sooooo long- I could not get over how long she is. Her "modelling" legs Adam says.

Auskick!

Saturday 20th February 2010

Kaleb signed up for AFL Auskick with the Warwick Redbacks today- he liked the idea of playing football like Uncle Adam- and I am hoping he doesn't hurt himself like Uncle Adam- maybe by starting at a younger age might benefit him...

Anyway, today was the first day and despite the rain, the kids all practiced with their new Auskick ball and learnt some new skills. (I definetly don't understand how guys play sport in the rain- I wanted to run for cover!) The kids had to practice with their parents so Joel and I got to play as well- and then it was time for Bomb the Parents- which we definetly did not sign up for!

Auskick is every Saturday morning from 8.30-9.30 from now until August!

Two in the bedroom

Tuesday 2nd February 2010

I think Kaleb is missing his little brother because he decided that he wanted to sleep in the same room as Joel. We had been talking about them sleeping in the same room if we moved to a house with only 3 rooms (we are looking for a house to buy- nothing has come up yet...). So they have now moved into what was Joel's room. They wake up very happy of a morning and Kaleb is now sleeping all night in his own room (phew!) so the arrangement seems to be working well for the moment.

It also works out well for me because we have set Kaleb's old room up as a toy room and office which is a great space for me when I am studying (I am starting a Certificate IV in Ministry- just one subject a semester at this stage) or doing the church admin work or scrapbooking...

Kaleb's School Award

Monday 1st February 2010

Kaleb was awarded the Prep- Grade One class encouragement award for Term One Week One. His certificate reads- For his excellent effort in reading lessons. Well done!

He really is loving school, and said to me yesterday morning, "mummy, thank you for letting me go to school." No worries buddy!
