Our friendly frog!

Last night there was a HUGE frog sitting on our back step. Kaleb liked looking at the frog, but from a distance, and he definetly wouldn't touch it. Joel in the other hand, grabbed the poor frog with both hands and after it jumped from his hands, he continued to poke it. Unfortunately I grabbed the camera too late to capture the moment but there is a photo of Joel and the frog after their encounter.

Man's Best Friend

Now, we all know that they say a man's best friend is a dog, but in our house, Mollie the cat, is definetly the boy's best friend. They love playing with her, and she looks for them to play with too. Joel particularly has taken a liking to Mollie- maybe because she is on his level. He is pretty rough with her but she barely bites back.

New BBQ

Sunday 13th September 2009

Jas has been waiting patiently for nearly 2 years to be able to buy a new BBQ. He bought an Everdure Neo Grosso BBQ and as you can see it is a meaty man's BBQ. It has 6 burners and a side burner (I hear you guys go "argh argh argh"). I can't wait to cook a pork roast to see if we can roast one as nice as Dad's Weber. Congrats on your well deserved bonus honey! Enjoy buying your new toys!

Teddy Bear's Picnic at Kindy

Sunday 13th September 2009

Today was the Teddy Bear's Picnic at Kindy. We all went along for a fun afternoon with all of the kid's at Kindy. It was a bit overwhelming because there were children there from all 4 Kindy classes so Kaleb was a bit unsure initially. Then Jacob arrived and they were like 2 peas in a pod. And although Jacob is in a different class, they are friends at church so were happy to play and join in together. There was a raffle (that we didn't win- and Kaleb was most upset...), teddy crafts, a Teddy Parade, Face Painting, afternoon tea, a Teddy Bear cake, and lollipops to finish off the day. Jas was most disappointed that he had to leave early to attend to a work matter (not...) but we did all have fun and it is nice to get involved in these special events!

Rocket Science

Kaleb's time as a rocket scientist and space explorer seems to have come to an end. We ended up with 3 space helmets and 12 space ships. And just so my bragging is justified, I thought I would post some photos. Watch this space for Kaleb's future in space engineering... or egg carton creations...
